Global Accountancy Institute,Inc. External Examinations Policy Update:Ignore At Your Own Peril

Dear Members:

Re: Global Accountancy Institute,Inc. External Examinations Policy Update:Ignore At Your Own Peril

Over the last few years I have tried to achieved 100% pass rate in our external examinations. While we have not been successful in achieving this target for paper based examinations, our Computer Based Examinations(CBE) pass rate is near perfect!.  Many thanks to the members who have help us to acheived this result.

The examinations that we have no control over to date have a lower pass rate. One of the major reason for this is that members still believe in going to examination to get lucky and pass. Success is only due to hard work. Luck does not make a person successful or unsuccessful.

To begin with, it is an undeniable fact that success would not come to you without working hard. Strong determination, confidence and desire to achieve something positive in life should always be cherished in mind and heart, and such aspiration can only be fulfilled by laborious work, not by luck.

Most Professional Accountancy Bodies will admit that more than 50% of their members fail examinations each year. This high level of failure adds more money to their bank account.

Why should you pay  for examination and FAIL?  While other Tuition Providers will make more money  when you fail, I don't want Global to benefit from your failure.

I understand that I will not be able to change all of you. However it is my opinion that it is time for me to put in place a Final System to ensure that I achieved my objective. My objective is to get you pass first time with good grades! No resit

Efffective immediate, we will be using the Global Average as a guide for you to enter for External Examinations. If your Global Average is below the Proessional Examination Pass Mark you should not enter for the examination.

Let me use ACCA as an example:

The pass mark for ACCA is 50%. If your Global Average is below 50%  you should not enter for the ACCA Examination. We will transfer you to the next group

Lets  me use another with CPA. The pass mark for CPA is 75%. If your Global Average is below 75% , you should not enter for the CPA Examination. We will transfer you to the next group

This means that you must ignore all emails from the Professional Examination Bodies regarding payment deadline for examination.

If you are studying for ACCA/FIA and you receive an email from ICAJ/ACCA regarding deadline for June Examination, you should not enter for the examination until you received clearance from me[Dr. Glen Brown] ..

IF you are doing the Computer Based Examination(CBE) you must ignore that email. Our Deadline as a CBE centre is different.

Please read the above guidance carefully.

ACCA Members Sitting Examination m April 1, 2017 to April 15,2017

If you are in the September 2017 group, you are schedule to sit your examination from April 1, 2017 to April 15, 2017.

I would like to use this medium to provide guidance.

  1. In order to ensure that we give each member an opportunity  to sit the final examination we will remove the deadline for payment to two(2) days before the actual examination date.
  2. Members who are having financial problems will be able to pay for one(1) examination at a time. This means that if you only have the fee for one(1) paper you can pay for that paper and then pay of the others as you go.
  3. If your Global Average is below 50%. You will be transfer over to the January 2017 Group effective  March 31, 2017 and you examination re-schedule to June 1,2017 to June 15, 2017. There will be no additional tuition fee for this transfer. This transfer is at no cost to you. However you will be required to start at least one  new paper[ACCA Paper F5 and ACCA Paper 7 if you have completed the class before of the Diploma Papers] in April 17, 2017
  4. All members with a Global Average above 50% will be transfer to Examination Mode effective March 31, 2017. In this mode you will be doing a series of Mock Examinations to ensure that you are successful. You will also be required to start ACCA Paper F4,F5 and F7 for the September 2017 Examination.
  5.  All members who have completed the Tuition for the Diploma Papers must move on to ACCA F4, F5 and F7 irrespective of whether you have done the actual examination.
  6. While we will not allow members to pay for examinations and fail. We will not allow them to sit idle at one level. In this case every member must move on to at least one new paper on April 17, 2017
  7.  In light of this new policy, we will now official separate Tuition Mode, Revision Mode and Examination Mode.

Let me explain:

Tuition Mode: This includes attending Global Live Online Classes, watching Pre-recorded Lectures if you are on the Global On-Demand Program, Reading and Studying your focused Text, Attempting Micro-Mocks and Monthly Mocks

Revision Mode: This includes: Watching Micro-Lectures and Sitting ten(10) Final Mock Examinations under exams conditions

Examination Mode: In this mode you sit the Real External  Examination

In order to ensure that members understand fully, I am scheduling an online  meeting for this Sunday, March 26, 2017 in Global Online Lecture Room #1 starting at 7:00 PM[Jamaica Time]. This meeting will last for one(1) hour. From 7:00 PM to 8:00PM. It will be recorded as well. If you are not able to attend you will be able to watch the recording session.

Final Thoughts

In the middle of every difficulty lies opportunity. More and more scientific studies are revealing that what we believe in our minds will become true. That is the message that Confucius, a famous Chinese teacher, left us with, 'he who believes he can and he who believes he can't are both usually right.

I belive we can do it.. Yes we can..

Have a wonderful day filled with blessings
